Baby Griffin | Newborn Session | Georgia Newborn Photographer
Some of my favorite moments of being a lifestyle photographer, are capturing sweet and organic moments during a newborn session. In-home sessions are so meaningful to me because it allows the family to have a more natural connection and interaction with their loved ones. As their photographer, I not only capture genuine emotion from those natural interactions, but I also have the opportunity to create special bonds with families that will be cherished for a lifetime. I am welcomed with open arms into a home, filled with so much love and excitement, celebrating the joys of a precious new baby.
The Slay Family did just that and I can't thank them enough for letting me be a part of such a special time in their lives. They welcomed their sweet baby boy Griffin in August and seriously was the most precious bundle of joy I ever did see! He was an absolute rockstar and slept pretty much through the entire session. His parents even joked about me being a baby whisperer...(perhaps a secret talent I never knew about?) I'll take it:)
Griffin's nursery immediately caught my attention. Besides the marvelous natural light shining through the nursery, the Slays did a beautiful job creating a space that was a perfect reflection of love for their baby boy. From the teal mountainous mural, natural wood elements, and the heartfelt Bible verses, there was just so much to love about his nursery.
Typically at the end of each session, I like to ask families if there is anything they would like to include of sentimental value and I am so happy I do. Griffin Keith was named after his grandfather Thomas Keith "T.K." Slay. Griffin's grandfather had passed a few years ago and it was so meaningful to the Slays to include his pilot headset, name badge, and wooden toy airplane. It was an honor to capture those keepsakes and to have Griffin's grandfather be part of the session in such a beautiful way.
Slay Family, I can't wait to see the many ways God blesses you with this little one! So many happy and wonder-filled times ahead of you!!
